When Sheldon Hervey first brought his wife Nancy to Cloverleaf, he wasn’t sure what to expect. After her brain injury left her unable to walk and without short-term memory, their world had changed completely. But the moment Nancy met one of our horses, everything shifted. Her eyes lit up, her shoulders softened, and - for that moment - she was fully present, connected and joyful.
“She may not remember the horses’ names,” Sheldon shared, “But she remembers how they make her feel. She always knows this is a happy place.”
